2005 Fully Involved House Fire on Chestnut Terrace - Chief Hopler |

On May 9, 2005, a fully involved structure
fire was called into dispatch at approximately 0300 hrs, and upon
arrival Rockaway Fire Chief Bob Hopler called for mutual aid from
Denville and Rockaway Township. The Dover Fire Department
F.A.S.T unit was also dispatched. The resident of the home was
already out of the dwelling and transported by Rockaway 430 to Saint
Clares Hospital in Denville for treatment of minor injuries. A master stream from Rockaway's 75ft ladder was put into operation as soon as a water supply could be established. The home was a total loss. Photographs by FirePhotographs |
